Advanced Embedded System and Mechatronics

In the biorobotics lab we have many interesting embedded systems projects, often fitting many components in a tiny space and using a variety of sensors, actuators, and control strategies. The picture is a perfect example featuring a Cortex-M4F microcontroller in BGA package, 4 port 100Mbit/s Ethernet switch, 6DOF IMU, motor driver, precision current sensing, magnetic encoder, and 48V input switching power supply, all on a 1.34 in^2 PCB.
